Das erste Erdbeben fand am 28.12. 2020 mit 5 Grad auf der Richterskala. Es gab grobe Schäden in einem recht breiten Gebiet in Petrinja und Umgebung. An der Presskonferenz des Bürgermeisters am 29.12.um 12.19 Uhr in Petrinja hat man live das 2. Erdbeben mit 6.2 Grad und deren Folgen mitansehen können und es hat leider auch Todesopfer gefordert. Der Schadensradius ist enorm über die Grenzen hinaus spürbar. Wir waren sehr gerührt wie viele freiwillige Helfer so schnell in die betroffene Region, mit Schaufeln bewaffnet, geeilt sind. Sie brachten auch viele Hilfsgüter mit. Wie es aussieht, wird die Region einen traurigen Weltrekord aufstellen. Seit Beginn bis heute, gab es über 750 Beben und es hört nicht auf. Wir sind unendlich für die Hilfe dankbar aber auch angewiesen. Besonders die Schwächsten leiden umso mehr. Das Zentrum “Kleines Haus” ist stark beschädigt (noch nicht begutachtet) und “das Wunderzimmer” ist ganz zerstört! Da fanden das Leben des Vereins und die Therapien statt. Unsere Mitglieder können jetzt die benötigte Unterstützung nicht bekommen und seit Jahren mit Mühe erarbeitete Erfolge in den Tagesabläufen und Fertigkeiten der Kinder mit Entwicklungsschwierigkeiten laufen Gefahr grossen Rückschlag zu erleiden. Aus diesem Grund appellieren wir an alle uns finanziell aber auch mit Sachspenden zu unterstützen: Zuerst müssen wir das bestehende in Stand setzten und zweitens gleichzeitig neuen Raum in Sisak finden und dies alles neu einrichten damit wir als Verein unsere Arbeit aufnehmen können. Im Moment sind wir fast handlungsunfähig. Arbeitsplätze sichern: 47 Stellen (20 Spitexangestellte, 12 persönliche Assistenten, Admin & Therapeuten) Geräte & Hilfsmitteln, nach der Bestandsaufnahme wird eine Liste erstellt. Die Spenden werden akkurat dokumentiert und Sie können deren Weg verfolgen.

The association provides assistance to children with difficulties, as well as young people and adults with disabilities (physical and intellectual disabilities), and it has working premises in the cities of Petrinja, Sisak, Glina and Novska.
Three large and a series of minor earthquakes that hit this area in the last two weeks also caused great material damage to the Association. The space for sensory integration therapy and occupational therapy in Sisak called “The Room of Miracles” was given a red label (which means: unusable) and there is a certain demolition of the building where the equipment is located, which we have not yet managed to evacuate. The headquarters of the Association and other therapeutic premises in Petrinja – “Small House” also suffered external damage that will be repaired.
Any donation at this time is therefore welcome and will enable the arrangement of new and renovation of existing premises in order to continue as soon as possible by providing psychosocial support, and thus the preservation of jobs.
In order to bring the work of the association closer to donors, I refer you to our latest annual report for 2019, which we also published in English and which shows the work on projects that we mostly continued in 2020.
